Poliform Italy is a family business founded in the north of Italy in 1970, and is built on artisan furniture making traditions. Today the collection is represented in 74 countries, and in cities from New York, Tokyo and London, to Sydney, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. From the beginning, Poliform established creative partnerships with leading designers and architects to develop its wide and diversified collection. In collaboration with Roberto Barbieri, Carlo Colombo, Studio Kairos, Jean- Marie Massaud, Paolo Piva, Vincent Van Duysen and Marcel Wanders, the Poliform range has designs for every area of the home and includes bookcases, wardrobe systems, beds and sofas, chairs, tables and the Poliform Kitchen collection.

In addition to the Poliform collection, Poliform Australia represents some of Italy’s most respected furniture brands Arflex as well as Porada and Pallucco Italia.

Poliform is committed to constant design innovation through investment into research and development of new technologies, materials and planning solutions. Components and raw materials are selected and purchased from the best European and international suppliers. Every Poliform products integrates strict tests to garantee its reliability and robustness.

For example, for their market leading kitchens, drawers are tested for a capacity of 30 kg (approximately 700 cutlery pieces) and for 100,000 cycles of opening and closing. Door hinges are tested for 80,000 openings. Poliform lacquers do not contain heavy metals, which is important for the safety of your family. All glass is safety glass which is five times more resistant than normal glass.

Poliform products are made in Italy to guarantee strict quality controls during all production stages. The solidly constructed bookcases and wardrobes have design integrity, their high-level engineering matched by the quality of materials used. Detail and quality go right down to the door movement, which is perfectly balanced, allowing for the correct weight distribution.

The collection is typically rigorous with a classic style. It is not the result of passing fads, but has an aesthetic quality that will guarantee that each piece remains elegant. Poliform offers the Australian market access to world renowned quality, with finishes and materials not always available locally. It is these details which sets Poliform apart.

Retail Challenge

Poliform works with retail clients for whom we offer a design service. Whether for furniture or for a more involved wardrobe or kitchen, our team of designers will help you make the best decisions on layout, function and finishes. The design service can include onsite consultation and the preparation of plans, elevations and 3D renderings, as we as project management and installation.

The Poliform in-house project management and installation team can work directly with a client’s architect, designer or builder. The Poliform collection has a range of very flexible details and specifications to suit an architect’s design brief, ensuring that each project meets the needs of the client at all stages of the process.

Poliform also works with Developers Architects and Interior Designers, completing kitchens and wardrobes in high-end projects within Australia and throughout the world. Projects include Sydney’s Grantham By Halcyon Developments, 8 Kent Road By Farrell Coyne Projects and Melbourne’s Dock 5 By Lend Lease, Lucient by Lustig & Moar, Triptych by RI Investment Trust and Stables Group.

Sustainability

Poliform has a strong focus on research and creativity, teamed with a steady awareness of the environment. Poliform uses natural materials and updated production technologies to guarantee the lowest environmental impact, their commitment demonstrated by the installation of solar powered photovoltaic plants at their Poliform Lab at Inverigo, near Como in Italy. The production methods ensure a rational management of the resources and they work only with certified suppliers. Poliform’s end goal is to offer a collection which is able to enrich both your own private world as well as the external one shared by all.

Poliform recognises the importance of sustainable design and follows a few fundamental practices:
Carcasses are composed of wooden fibre panels coated with melamine resins with low emission formaldehyde: E1 Class.Poliform only uses certified lead free paints and non-toxic lacquers.Timber veneers are plantation grown oak, cherry, walnut. Packaging is glue free and recycled.
