Project Brief

This project was a very personal one for the client and we worked with him closely to capture his strong aesthetic and approach to his work.

We interpreted his 'organic luxe' style as a series of floral explosions that define the exhuberance and artistry of Mr Cook flowers and reflect the sensory experience of being in the store amongst them. We created the identity as an ongoing series as the flowers are always changing, unexpected and truly gorgeous.

We developed the new brand through stationery, gift cards, wrapping design, store interior, signage and website - www.mrcook.com.au.

Project Innovation / Need

The Identity has standout in a market for its artful take on the world of flower design and has given the new company great recognition for a very successful first year in business. The Mr Cook gift cards are an ongoing series and they have been collectible among his clients.

Design Challenge

Mr Cook was a new start up business so we wanted to create a lot of love within the budget. We helped plan the store interior as well as sourcing wrapping materials that are unusual in the market and idiosyncratic to the Mr Cook style. The identity has also been designed as an ongoing series to reflect the ever changing store and seasons.

Sustainability

We kept the sourcing of all materials, printing and production to our local Sydney suppliers. The materials used for the wrapping of the flowers consists of specially dyed rope from a local manufacturer and plain crisp white recycled paper for simplicity and a fresh take on the presentation of flowers. The rope is also used on signage and instore installations.
